Touchstone Acres

We had 3 foals in 2007,  a TB, a Foundation QH and 2 Lipizzans.  We have only the QH colt left, and he is in training for the NRHA Futurity Nov.l 2010.

This year was Mihko's first foal crop and he had 3 fillies.   Mihko's first foal has arrived in early 2007.  Pictures are on the stallion page, 261 Maestoso Samira XXI--click here.   She is at Tempel Farms Lipizzans in IL.   Two more fillies were born here.  Here are video clips of Adena and Balinna.  Both are in their new homes now.  Adena traveled to Saskatoon, SK, Canada  and Balinna to Tennessee.

Adena was  foaled April 10, a purebred Lipizzan filly by our new imported stallion 261 Maestoso Samira XXI.  'Mira puts lovely foals on the ground, with exquisite trots.    Judging from her current size, this will be another big one.  'Mira has a puppy dog friendly personality and is responsive under saddle without being hot.

This filly Adena is SOLD, to Carol in Canada.

Here she is at 12 days, home at Touchstone Acres:

280 Betalka V had a filly May 6 2007 also by our stallion.  This foal is be the perfect choice for the discriminating breeder, as both parents were recently imported from Slovenia and carry the best bloodliners of Studs Lipica and Pibar. Betalka has a wonderful unflappable personality and is easy to ride.  Our farrier says she has the ideal hoof that belongs in a textbook .  This filly is went to Sonia in TN.

Our quiet and sweet Thoroughbred, Rexs Turn, who is a Turn To mare, Oldenburg and Holseiner approved, had a foal by Reparations.  He is a stakes winning son of Forty Niner, said to be the perfect nick for Turn To mares.   Reparations is the US #88 Third Year Crop stallion in earnings and #72 Juvenile Sire in the region.  Moreover, his conformation complements Rexy's.  Both are 16 hands.  Rexy is a joy to ride and jump, always sound and ready to go at 20.   Rexy foaled 5/27. Here he is at 9 hours:

And later on, 13 days:

Last but not least is our AHQA/FQHA mare, Dollathena.  Dolly, the perfectly behaved reining machine, foaled June 8, 2007.  We have a lovely light red dun colt with a big star and 3 white socks.  He has the best friendly disposition for the first moment. He is the pet of the foaling farm.  Registration papers are here and his name is Dollywood Jac.

The sire's the top $winning son of Shining Spark, Jacs Electric Spark.  He was NRHA Open Futurity Finalist,  in NRBC Open  Finals in 2003 and 2004. Shining Spark is a million dollar winner in NRHA.  Jacs Electric Spark is out of Miss Hello Hollywood, by Hollywood Jac 86, the first million dollar  NRHA sire.  Dolly was a competitive reining mare, purchased as a confidence builder for our daughter and has never put a hoof wrong.  Her pedigree is full of greats like Doc Bar and Poco Bueno, Poco Tivio. This foal promises to be a star for the performance minded western rider.  He is eligible for AQHA Incentive Fund and discounted nominations to all NRHA futurities for ages 3 to 6 as part of the NRHA Sire & Dam Program.

Spark went to STS Performance Horses in Cambridge Ohio for training 2/7/09.  There he will be close to the reining scene and QH Congress.  Video links follow pictures.
